Track and Trace
The Customer:
The customer is one of the leading Egyptian companies working in the pharmaceutical industry. They own a state-of-the-art production facility and a world class team of professionals with extensive industry experience. They develop and produce a wide range of branded generic pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food supplements and veterinary products. They combine global standards with local insights and a customer-centric approach.
The Problem:
In compliance with the Ministry of Health’s decision to add a Datamatrix 2D barcode to each pharmaceutical secondary packaging in preparation to apply the Track and Trace standard in the Egyptian pharmaceutical market, The customer had bought a number of ready-made serialization stations of foreign origin. These stations were not able to generate the communication files required by the Ministry of Health. In addition, it had a non-acceptable high rejection rate.
The Solution:
Gargour Technologies was able to modify these serialization stations to generate the communication files required by the Ministry of Health and to generate a quite acceptable rejection rate. In addition, Gargour Technologies was also able to provide the customer with a number of its own developed serialization stations which features smart cameras together with transparent and highly customizable software that builds, maintains, interacts with the Ministry of Health’s aggregation databases, and generates a comprehensive set of reports. The major strength of our stations is that, being in-house developed, it opens the limits of customization and/or modifications to meet any end user requirements.
